How I Discovered the Principles In 1985, my first wife, Margaret, had breast cancer. Because we had seen many outstanding results by following the faith teachings of several well known ministers, my wife decided not to have her breast removed as the doctors recommended, but to use her faith instead. She claimed her healing, made her confessions and proclaimed that by His stripes she was healed. After a long and tortuous year in which I watched her suffer agonizing pain, while still confessing and believing for her healing, she died. Margaret was my hero. She loved and trusted God and kept her faith to the very end. However, her death devastated me. I could no longer believe in the faith teachings I had once embraced. In fact, I did not even want to hear the word "faith". I blamed God for letting us down. I rebelled against Him and turned away. My life quickly fell apart.
I knew I had to change but nothing seemed to work. The enemies of my soul told me things were hopeless because I had committed the unpardonable sin. But thanks be to my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ for paying the price not only for my salvation, but also for my rebellion when He died on the cross. Over the years I have read over 30 books on faith and listened to the arguments of both those who teach faith and those who oppose it. I have been able to pick out nuggets of truth from both sides and to discard the rest. God also gave me insights and revelations. I discovered that the wrong use of faith can kill and has killed many, but lack of faith is just as deadly a killer. In fact, I believe that more people suffer needlessly from lack of a properly developed faith than from misapplied faith. These discoveries prompted me to create a comprehensive seminar and workshop on "Developing Great Faith".

I know now from personal experience that there is nothing the enemy can send into my life that can defeat me. My understanding and application of faith has made me more than a conqueror.
