Go Forward (Move On)!
God Will Make a Way Where There is No Way!
15Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground (Exodus 14:15-16).
During their escape from Egypt, the Israelites faced a big dilemma. God led them into a situation in which there seemed to be no escape. Behind them charged Pharaoh with his army, before them the mighty Red Sea. God told Moses to tell the Israelites to go forward. As they moved forward in faith, God made a way through the Red Sea.
God wants to do the same for us as He did for the Israelites. His word to us is to go forward despite the obstacles before us. Here are some ways for us to move forward:
Go forward in Obedience
By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going (Hebrews 11:8).
Go forward in Godliness
7Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come…11Command and teach these things. 12Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity (1 Timothy 4:7-8 & 11).
Go forward in ministry and in the use of spiritual gifts
13Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. 15Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers (1 Timothy 4:13-16).
It’s time to make great progress in your life. God will make a way where there is no way. Go Forward!
